For this reason Management considers it essential to ensure an Integrated Management System suitable for the activities carried out at MABEN. This commitment is reflected by the fact that the following Quality certificates have been obtained: ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 and by the implementation of ISO14001 for the Environment, respecting the legal framework in force at all levels (local, autonomous, state and European).

MABEN has innovated since its beginnings, but each time it has had to do so with more speed and therefore needs an innovation system so as not to miss any business opportunities.

For this reason MABEN’s Management has initiated the process of implementing the UNE 166002 Standard, aimed at establishing a Management System for Innovation enabling the company to continue to be competitive.

The main project is to implement an efficient Innovation Management System according to the UNE 166002 Standard, integrated with TS 16949 and to obtain certification for it during 2011.

The specific objectives of the project are:

· Increase the percentage of success of new projects by 15%.
· Monitor technology systematically and in way that can also be recorded so that potential risks and opportunities in the markets can be detected.
· Reinforce contacts with external organisations (technology centres) to establish collaborations with them in order to optimise the research and development phases.
· Reduce time to market for new projects by 30%.
· Improve the training and motivation of MABEN personnel in tasks for managing R&D&I.
· Contact the patents office to discover the procedure to be followed to assure technology protection.
